Willing To Be

The Mormon Bachelor ¶ July 6

23-yr old Shaylin Werner is a California girl straight from Placentia, California.  She just graduated with a BS in Athletic Training and plans to pursue a Physical Therapist Assistant job  along with becoming a Club Volleyball Coach as she studies for the Board of Certification Exam for Athletic Training.

There is a never a dull moment in Shay's life!  She has little time between school, volleyball and Church responsibilities but when she does have spare time she likes to soak up some sun, read a good book, listen to past General Conference talks on-line, or help someone out.  When Shay is most comfortable she thinks she is her best self…more relaxed, light-hearted and more playful!  Her family says that she becomes ‘radiant’ in her element.

In Shay's own words about the handsome Kent Tuttle, "Outside of his striking good looks, Kent has the top 5 things I look for in a future eternal companion: very SPIRTITUAL, TALL, Intelligent, ambitious/goal-oriented, and athletic!  I also see in Kent the soft-hearted traits and qualities that would attribute to becoming a good father.  It is amazing to me how much we also have in common. Kent seems to be very outgoing and fun-loving which compliments my personality as well.   And we both love California beach sunsets.

He also meets my criteria on how a man treats his family and the relationship he has with them, how strong his testimony is, his confidence level (not arrogant, but humble) and a man who knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it and earn it.

I believe timing in relationships is so important and even that is looking good for the both of us!  We both seem to be at the right season of our lives; spontaneous enough and close enough to our Heavenly Father to find true eternal love. So are we a match made in heaven? Of course time will tell, yet I am amazed at myself that I am so excitedly nervous, yet willing, to take this unique Bachelor journey and take a huge leap of faith to find out if we are, in fact, a "match made in Heaven"!"
