Amanda Bynes spotted with bandaged face as she arrives in New York after arrest ¶ March 13

Amanda Bynes' parents can breathe a sigh of relief - sort of - as their daughter has been spotted arriving in New York, days after they admitted that they didn't know where she was.

The former child star was arrested last weekend for DUI, but has stayed under the radar - until now.

Amanda took a flight from Los Angeles on Thursday night before arriving in New York with a plaster across her right cheek.

It's unclear why Amanda was wearing the huge bandage, which covered most of the side of her face.

Prior to taking the flight, TMZ reported that Amanda had been seen getting her hair done in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Eyewitnesses have alleged to the gossip site that the actress was "acting very strange" at LAX.

Earlier this week, the site spoke to Amanda's parents about their daughter's whereabouts.

“We don’t know,” they told TMZ when questioned about the troubled star’s whereabouts.

“I’ve been getting calls all day long; that’s all I know — you can believe me or not, I’m telling the truth,” he said, revealing that he hadn't spoken to Amanda in three months.

It was also reported that Bynes’ dad Rick said that he and his wife Lynn had learned that Amanda had been arrested from the media.

The gossip site reported that Rick had thought his daughter was in New York, but TMZ claim that she’s been staying in Hollywood.

Talking near his house in Sherman Oaks, he said "but I know she likes New York, so that’s what I’m thinking."

Amanda’s conservatorship ended earlier this month, and she is reported to have shipped straight out of her parents’ home.

Over the weekend, Amanda was reportedly arrested for DUI because she was under the influence of a doctor-prescribed psychostimulant.

Amanda was allegedly taken for testing by police officers when she was spotted driving a Mercedes in the San Fernando Valley.

The blonde star had stopped her car in the middle of an intersection on Van Nuys Blvd, and a drug recognition officer determined she was under the influence of a stimulant.

Reports state that the troubled actress had a disheveled appearance.

The star was arrested and charged with misdemeanor after the alleged incident in Los Angeles.

Amanda was held at the Van Nuys station on $15,000 bail, before being released hours later.

It could cause further problems, as Amanda is still on probation following a DUI conviction.

The star was placed on three years probation after being arrested for DUI again in 2012.

She was released from rehab last year after spending four months there to be treated for a mental illness.

She is set to appear in court on October 23.

Since then she has been looking more and more like her old self, ditching the bizarre wigs and outfits for a more understated look.

We have contacted Amanda's rep for comment.
